Silver Dollar City

Consistently rated as one of America’s top theme parks, Silver Dollar City is a must for any visiting youth or student group. It has everything: entertainment, food, educational opportunities, and of course, rides.

Silver Dollar City encourages student group visits and even has special packages and opportunities available. There are special student-only days where they learn about careers, science, and math or participate in student choir performances.

For many young people, the focus will be the attractions. The park has over 40 rides, including five exciting roller coasters.

Aquarium at the Boardwalk

With over 250 different kinds of marine life, this walkthrough aquarium has colorful exhibits, beautiful displays, and opportunities to touch sea creatures like stingrays and starfish. The Aquarium even has group discount rates for groups of 15 or more.

You’ll see sharks, jellyfish, seahorses, and more fish species than you can count. Draw a fish and watch it come to life on a fun, interactive screen. Take a 5-D submarine ride to the ocean floor and learn about the fish you find along the way. They even have a large coral reef where you can view the tropical fish and marine life that live there.

The Titanic Museum in Branson is the largest Titanic museum in the United States. This self-guided tour takes you through rooms of authentic Titanic artifacts, and audio recordings help you learn the history behind each display. Students will get a boarding pass of an actual Titanic passenger as they enter and can learn the fate of their passenger in the Memorial Room.

There are interactive displays as well, where you can touch an actual iceberg and feel how cold the water was on that tragic night. Group rates are available, and student performances are welcome.

Butterfly Palace and Rainforest Adventure

At the Butterfly Palace, students can learn about the butterfly life cycle as well as view other animals that live in rainforest climates. There is a room with reptiles and frogs, a mirror maze, and of course, our large butterfly enclosure where you can hand-feed butterflies.

Branson as a destination is so much more than music. Our area contains gorgeous scenery and rolling hills of the Ozark Mountains, which geologists believe were once a very tall plateau left behind after a shallow sea and swampland receded. Over hundreds of millions of years, gradual erosion left behind the current landscape filled with hills, valleys, rivers, and caves. Many places in and around Branson take advantage of the rolling hills to give us humans an adrenaline rush. Many group tour leaders talk about how they have active groups and love adventure-based travel. Branson offers enormous opportunities for adventure seekers!

Grand Country recently had the pleasure of hosting model Victoria Henley, sent to Branson as part of a tour with iHeart Radio and CTFFashionMag.com. Victoria took in six shows, dined on our breakfast, lunch, dinner, and pizza buffets, played a few rounds of mini-golf, and sampled some of Glenn’s famous frozen custard. Check out Victoria’s take on her time at our Branson resort, and see what you think. Thanks for stopping by, Victoria!
